For the series that had me reading with a sugar rim and no self control.
I have finished Baby Girl by Harley Madison, the final book in the Sugar Life series, and it felt wrong to send it off with anything other than something pink, sparkling and slightly too sweet for its own good. This drink is for the finale of a series I read almost entirely too fast, three books in under a week, and then one I fully intended to savour slowly, because I was not ready to be finished. Reader, I was not capable of savouring anything.
The Baby Girl Sugar Fizz is a sparkling champagne cocktail with a pink sugar rim and four small fruit garnishes, one for each book in the series. It is bright, a little glittery and dangerously easy to refill. I have included a full mocktail version too, because the fizz and the sugar rim do all the work, whether or not there is champagne underneath.

This one pairs perfectly with Good Girl, Brat Baby Truffles for a full Sugar Life reading night spread. My spoiler-free review of Baby Girl is here if you want to know how it went.

A gentle note: the Sugar Life series is a high steam why choose romance with daddy dom dynamics, an age gap and BDSM themes. If that is your comfort zone, pour generously. If it is not, this drink is still very good over your softer read. See the Sugar Life reading order if you want to know where to start.
Vibe-level only, this recipe is not built around any plot detail, so it stays completely spoiler free.
What you will need
Makes 1 drink (scale up easily for book club).

Baby Girl Sugar Fizz cocktail
- 120ml chilled champagne or prosecco
- 15ml raspberry or strawberry liqueur (chambord or a berry schnapps both work)
- 10ml fresh lemon juice
- Pink sugar, for the rim
- A little honey or golden syrup, for sticking the rim
- 4 small fruit garnishes, one raspberry, one strawberry half, one blackberry, one gold sugar pearl or edible glitter pinch, threaded on a cocktail pick
Baby Girl Sugar Fizz mocktail
- 120ml chilled non-alcoholic sparkling wine or lemonade
- 15ml raspberry syrup or cordial
- 10ml fresh lemon juice
- Pink sugar, for the rim
- A little honey or golden syrup, for sticking the rim
- 4 small fruit garnishes, same as above
Method
Step 1: Rim the glass
Dip the rim of a champagne flute or coupe glass in honey or golden syrup, then straight into a shallow plate of pink sugar, turning gently until the whole rim is coated. Set the glass aside to let the sugar set for a minute or two.

Step 2: Build the base
Pour the berry liqueur (or raspberry syrup for the mocktail) and lemon juice gently into the glass first, tilting the glass slightly so you do not disturb the sugar rim.

Step 3: Top and fizz
Top slowly with the chilled champagne or non-alcoholic sparkling wine, pouring down the side of the glass to keep the fizz and the rim intact.

Step 4: Thread the garnish
Thread the raspberry, strawberry half, blackberry and gold sugar pearl onto a cocktail pick, one fruit for each book in the series, and lay it across the rim of the glass. Serve immediately, while it is still fizzing.

Cosy Kitchen Notes
Chill the glass first if you can. A cold glass keeps the sugar rim from weeping and keeps the fizz lasting longer once you pour.

Pink sugar swap. No pink sugar on hand, a few drops of pink or red food colouring stirred through plain caster sugar on a plate does the same job.
Make it for book club. Rim every glass ahead of time and let them set on a tray. Build each drink to order so the fizz is fresh when it lands in someone’s hand.

Sober-curious swap. Good quality non-alcoholic sparkling wine holds up well here, or keep it simple with chilled lemonade, the sugar rim and berry garnish do most of the mood-setting regardless of what is fizzing underneath.

The Last Sip
The Baby Girl Sugar Fizz is pink, glittering and built for exactly the kind of reading night where pacing yourself was never actually on the table. Four fruits on the pick, one book each, and a sugar rim that will absolutely end up on your top lip by the second sip.

Pour one for the Sugar Life finale, or set it down next to Good Girl, Brat Baby Truffles for the full spread. Full pairing lives on the Saturday Night Sip, Snack & Smut page.
Sugar and bad decisions have never looked better together.
